I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the Department of Financial Markets at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) in Halle, Germany. My research lies at the intersection of banking, financial intermediation, and political economy. I study how banks interact with firms and governments, focusing on topics such as credit market frictions, bank–firm relationships, the allocation of public subsidies, and politically connected lending. My work combines micro-level banking and firm data to examine how financial institutions transmit policy interventions, respond to regulatory changes, and shape firm outcomes.
